Verdict

Alan Swinbank's FRANKIE ANSON looked all over the winner before falling at the last at Market Rasen two weeks ago in the race won by Mission Control and he can gain ample compensation by taking the honours in this event with the main danger rated as Mister Two Fifty. The Irish challenger was pulled up under testing conditions at Clonmel when last seen in February and may be better suited by the faster ground today. Tim Vaughan's Finzi Contini unseated his rider and ran out at Market Rasen last week and is hard to back with any confidence following that effort, while Lockstown has not been seen since March 2009 and lack of a recent run is a concern.
