    Verdict

The three-year-old GYLO (NAP) gave notice of an imminent victory when runner-up at Pontefract and duly obliged in an apprentices' race at Beverley on Saturday. That was over 1m2f but he escapes a penalty and stayed on strongly so should have no problems with the extra. Dew Pond is an extremely consistent performer who is rarely beaten far at this level though he's still 6lb higher than his last victory. Jan De Heem is another who is usually thereabouts but hasn't won for two years while Remember Rocky will be having his 63rd start on the Flat and has never raced over a trip this far. Nearly There gained his only victory over 1m6f and may find this on the short side unless there is significant rain.
