In depth
Verdict
Can Can Flyer and Ego Trip are two worthy of attention here, but we will take a chance on the top-weight Principessa. Bryn Palling's well bred daughter of Machiavellian has done well in both maidens and handicaps this season. She put in another solid display last week when chasing home Namat in what a[appeared to be quite a strong maiden. The pick of her handicap form was back in August when finishing runner up to Velvet Waters, and if duplicating that effort she could prove difficult to beat. Can Can Flyer came up against two in form performers in Inchpast and Bramantino recently and although slightly disappointing on heavy ground at Haydock last time, should go well on today's surface. Ego Trip bounced back to winning form at Thirsk last time and can make another bold bid. Of the others The Rip is lightly raced this season and should improve on what he has shown so far, however Principessa has been knocking on the door all season and can finally get it open.
