Verdict

The Big Bad was claimed for £6,000 after winning a Ripon seller last month and this looks a much tougher assignment. Al Mortajaz will probably start favourite as he’s improved with each run but he’s no world-beater, though Simon Crisford has only run one two-year-old here in the last five years and that won. Sky Cross needs more but CONSTANT found 6f too short on debut at Hamilton and is capable of better so gets the nod to get the better of newcomers Ollivander and Siege.
