        Verdict

        POP WORLD was a comfortable winner of a maiden here last year and it could be that she needed a reappearance run in order to blow off those cobwebs. Just Janet has proved a model of consistency but that unfortunately has given the assessor little reason to loosen his grip. Platinum Girl was ahead of Vixey when the pair crossed swords in a similar race at Carlisle. Star Sound ran a fair race at Leicester with a bit of give underfoot while Creative Style was outclassed in Listed company but has to be respected here as she is Archie Watson’s only runner at the meeting.
