      Verdict

Ruth Carr appears to hold the key to this race and while there isn’t too much between Magical Effect and MUTANAASEQ, the latter is preferred as he was a ready winner here in May. Mr Trevor should know his way around here given the regularity with which he has appeared at the track during his career while Pontefract specialist Round The Island won this race last year and Simon Whitaker’s veteran takes his chance off the very same mark this afternoon. Ginato aims to end a losing run stretching back the best part of two years but is worth a market check.
