Verdict
Lost Spirit is on a handy mark and could be worth chancing in this wide open race, with Mama Jaffa, Cantoris and Grand Lass also in with a chance. Lost Spirit was a bit disappointing last time but had previously run well when just being caught on the line by Ellway Heights. He is a course and distance winner who loves this track, so should go very well. Grand Lass could give the selection the most to do and she ran well behind Life is Beautiful at Beverly last time. She hails from an in-form yard so has to be respected. Cantoris is running better than his bare form would suggest so cannot be ruled out, while Mama Jaffa is in great heart and was an unlucky second behind Tass Heel on this track last time. Lost Spirit would be a popular winner of this event and gets our vote.
