Verdict

Peter Chapple-Hyam has a record of one winner from just two previous runners at this track so we should take note of his entry here, GREAT ART, who is likely to be good enough to outpoint Miss Kittyhawk and Business Class. The selection has performed well in context in two previous maidens, going close on debut at Newbury before running with credit over this trip at Newmarket. Significantly, the trainer has given him two months between each race to strengthen and that can pay dividends here. Miss Kittyhawk showed up well on fast ground over a mile on her first two starts, but perhaps the ground or the drop in trip did for her at Headquarters last time. She too has had a nice break coming into this and she may well benefit for that. Business Class has given enough of a nudge when previously tried over this trip and at this track to suggest that he can be very competitive in this weak enough maiden, while Steel Stockholder will surely pick up a race at some point but despite his reasonably consistent profile he is proving very tricky to win with. Great Art can score.
