Verdict
MESSIAH GARVEY may be able to land the finale with dangers including the likes of Admirals Way and Maison Dieu. Messiah Garvey hails from a yard going well and has Silvestre De Sousa back on board for the first time since winning a seller at Beverley in July. He raced too keenly when stepped up to a mile last time and that run can be safely ignored; he ran inexplicably badly prior to that but has the form in the book to be a leading player in this contest from his present mark. Maison Dieu is competitive from his present mark but probably needs the ground to dry out considerably if he's to be a factor this afternoon and a bigger challenge could come from Admirals Way. He's creeping back up the weights but comes into the race in such good form that he cannot be left out of calculations with underfoot conditions no problem. The claims of Messiah Garvey are more speculative but he's worth chancing.
