In depth

Verdict

Sfumato won over 6f here last year and has undergone wind surgery since last month’s reappearance. Ventura Rascal went close at Ayr when beaten by Inductive and collateral form with the latter gives Kevin Ryan’s charge the beating of recent course and distance winner Our Dave. But the latter’s stablemate POET’S MAGIC (NAP) makes most appeal in this having finished ahead of Stronsay when beaten only a neck at Ayr last week and John Quinn’s filly is taken to go one better racing off the same mark. Kilconquhar is unexposed and one to note upped in trip today.
