    In depth

    Verdict

Cassiara gets the confident vote in this maiden; Barkass and Ghafeer are others to consider. The selection is turned out quickly after chasing home Godolphin's Step In Line at Redcar on Monday. That was a decent effort and from a good draw she can land this event. Barkass was a beaten favourite at Beverley last time but he still ran well in defeat and he has the blinkers on this afternoon which may just sharpen him up. Ghafeer is a stablemate of Barkass and he has conditions to suit today so he is respected, especially as he ran a blinder at a big price at Redcar last time. Miss Taboo has been knocking on the door without winning, but she may be better over 6f, and we are happy to side with Cassiara as the one to beat.
