        Verdict

        A particularly poor contest which makes little appeal as a betting medium. Desert Fighter has been kept busy during the winter months and has claims on his Ludlow selling victory in October if fit for his return to the level after a near three-month break. Wethaab has failed to recapture the same level of form that saw him land a Southwell seller in January but Blair is capable of going close on his Nottingham selling handicap win last term and wasn't disgraced last time.
