Cartwright was superbly placed to win four of his six starts last year but has gone up 14lb since scoring at Newcastle in September and was beaten off a 16lb lower mark over this track and trip earlier. Velvet Revolution wasn’t disgraced on his reappearance at Kempton and won over 2m here last year so is a danger as is LOST THE MOON. Mark Tompkins’ charge steps up another grade but was only beaten a neck at Lingfield on his latest start having won his previous two around here. Dakota City may need to drop another few pounds before picking up the winning thread again.
