Verdict
Tavener has been in fine form but is still climbing the weights, though Finley Marsh’s claim is a plus. East Coast Lady has been knocking on the door but has not won in 10 previous tries over this trip. Miss Goldsmith was beaten under a length last time at Wolverhampton but she’s still a maiden after a dozen starts. FOIE GRAS has never won off a mark this high but Silvestre De Sousa takes over the reins on this dual course winner who won on this card 12 months ago and he should be thereabouts. Newstead Abbey hasn’t won for a while but has slipped down the handicap and is another to consider in an open race.
