Verdict

No winning favourite has obliged at Newbury in this Guineas trial since 2008 but BESHARAH doesn't know that and will likely head the betting. The Haggas filly won the Princess Margaret and the Lowther Stakes last year before just missing out in the Group 1 Cheveley Park at Newmarket and should have the measure of these. Katie's Diamond ran well in a Group 1 at Longchamp in October behind a 1000 Guineas fancy Ballydoyle while Marenko made a winning return at Kempton recently and is preferred to stablemate Light Up Our World. Both Aljazzi and Nassuvian Pearl made winning debuts last year with the former preferred.
