LA FORTUNA (NAP) came good at this time last year, winning this contest before going on to land a hat-trick. She’s 11lb lower than when last successful, with an apprentice taking a further 5lb off her back, and is fancied to return to winning ways. Olaudah’s earlier win came at Wolverhampton but Englishman was placed here recently. Gottardo’s course and distance success came back in March but Crackin Dream went close in a maiden race over 7f at Yarmouth and drops down trip along with Split Down South, an import from Ireland.
