    Verdict

    Banmi may have won over track and trip recently but has little chance on these terms. The newcomer State Crown is a half-brother to the Group 1 winner Blair House among others and could have been found an easier opportunity than this while Surf Dancer won easily at Leicester last time and has entries in the Royal Lodge and Dewhurst. LIGHT ANGEL will be no pushover, despite recent defeats in handicaps, as John Gosden’s grey colt is rated 92 and gets the vote to return to winning ways having raced too freely in the early stages at Newmarket last time.
