      Verdict

      With testing conditions forecast, this promises to be a real stamina test and the lightly weighted Sir Frosty appears to have plenty in his favour. The Arctic Lord gelding has proved a most progressive performer notching victories at Taunton and on his seasonal return at Exeter in good style and will have no problem with the trip or the ground. The nine-year-old continues to rise in the handicap but remains unexposed and should be able to take advantage of the weight he receives from the principals. Polar Champ has been shrewdly placed to land four novice events but faces a much stiffer task in this company. Samuel Wilderspin lost his way last backend having been an early casualty in the National and pulled up in the Scottish equivalent but has acquitted himself well of late and will relish the conditions. Wonder Weasel remains on a handy mark despite scoring at Wetherby last time and is another worthy of respect on this ground.
