      Verdict

      The feature race on the card has understandably attracted a quality field headed by the hat-trick seeking Halexy. The Venetia Williams-trained gelding has proved a revelation this year with fluent displays to land handicaps at Chepstow and here in impressive style. The son of Iron Duke has been raised a further 7lb for his latest victory but remains unexposed and has the sope to stay ahead of the assessor. Katarino has had his problems in the past and returns from a lengthy absence but was a smart hurdler and a promising chaser last term so, with his stable in such fine fettle at present, must be re given every respect of a fair handicap mark. Ballinclay King is well treated on the pick of his form but does not appear the force of old judged on recent evidence while Blowing Wind will appreciate the return to this trip after failing to stay further on his last two starts but looks weighted up to his best at present.
