Verdict

Gustave Mahler, a useful hurdler, was 0-6 over fences in novice company last year but is having a first run in a hunter chase and has to be respected, despite a lay-off. Willem won by 30 lengths between the flags last month but has a poor strike-rate under Rules. SAM CAVALLARO is now a teenager but won this in in 2015 and 2016 and has been placed in both subsequent renewals. He proved his well-being at Chaddesley Corbett last month and Bryan Carver is good value for his 7lb claim.
