Verdict

Clubs Are Trumps wears cheekpieces for the first time but, like Phangio, needs to improve markedly on recent form to take a hand in the finish here. Bears Rails won at Fakenham and Exeter last season and was placed twice here so goes on the short-list. Calin Du Brizais and Deadly Move would have a chance on their best form while Paddy The Deejay won twice over this trip in point-to-points. ALBERT D'OLIVATE won over hurdles here in March and he's only run once so far over fences so still has time on his side and is taken to make a winning reappearance, though would probably have preferred a softer surface.
