      Verdict

Pot Luck was very green at Lingfield in May but caught the eye once grasping the nettle in the closing stages and will know more today. She’s a half-sister to three winners and this longer trip is sure to suit. Loving Pearl only cost 8,000gns but she is also a half-sister to three winners and is probably the pick of the newcomers. Be Proud looked ready for another furlong last time at Chelmsford but the interesting one might be Johnny Murtagh’s colt CHAMPAGNE MARENGO. He’s a half-brother to winners who stayed a mile and further and he would have finished closer at Roscommon last month had he not encountered traffic problems.
