Verdict
The Paul Nicholls roadshow can roll on here with Cornish Set - a well related individual for this game - appealing as the one that can make a big impact in the finale. Longterm has obviously had his problems and is one of a trio that is opposable in making a reappearance after a long lay-off. Therefore, it may be down to Riders Revenge to give the selection the most to do. The Venetia Williams-trained gelding had some useful bumper form before joining his current yard last season. However, his starts over hurdles have not been so encouraging and he is yet to recapture any of the sparkle that saw him finish tenth in the Champion bumper behind Rhinestone Cowboy. Therefore, as Cornish Set looked far more at ease when he finished second to a very well regarded type last time, he is confidently expected to come out on top this afternoon. Especially after his Wincanton form was given a very solid boost yesterday.
