        Verdict

Shannons Boy was good value for his win over course and distance last month but an 11lb rise for that success looks harsh and preference is for Madam Harriet, with Arceye rated the pick of the remainder. The selection was a good winner here last month, lost no caste in defeat at Warwick subsequently and a reproduction of that effort, off the same mark today, may well suffice. Freeline Fury may appreciate the return to handicap company but is hard to back with confidence on the level of his form, while Rifleman has never looked the easiest of rides and may be best watched off his current mark. Walton Way showed some signs of encouragement last time, while Gerrard is capable but inconsistent. Arceye was good value for his success here in a selling handicap chase last time and has claims but an 8lb rise for that success looks harsh and preference is for Madam Harriet.
