Verdict
Time to Reflect gets the vote in the opener, with Olney Lad, Blue Business and Scotch Corner the others for the shortlist. The selection is in good heart at present and was second behind Forever Dream at Kempton last month. That was over 2m and the step-up in trip here is sure to suit this Martin Pipe gelding who already has winning form over 3m. Scotch Corner could represent the main danger and he won in good style at Wetherby last month when defeating Rouge Et Noir in a national hunt flat race. He will be suited by the step up in trip as he looks to have plenty of stamina, and providing his hurdling does not let him down, he looks to have excellent claims. Olney Lad is another that has to be considered as he hacked up at Uttoxeter last month when defeating Harbour Point, and with no trip or ground concerns here, he should go well. The other to consider is Blue Business who hails from the Paul Nicholls yard and is half-brother to top staying chaser See More Business. He made a pleasing debut when second behind Salhood in a national hunt flat race on this track back in May, and he should be noted to see if he is supported in the market. This looks a decent race with some interesting prospects in opposition, but we will give Time To Reflect the tentative vote.
