Verdict

Massini's Maguire, Armariver, and Go Free are the three to shortlist here and Armariver, a full brother to Armaturk gets the vote. Massini's Maguire is still a maiden in this country but ran a great race on his last run in December when finishing second in a Grade Two contest. He will take some stopping but a chance is taken that he may not be sharp first time out and he is taken on at the likely short price. Go Free is a modest Flat performer but lost his maiden tag over hurdles at Worcester last time after some moderate efforts previously. He carries a penalty here and can be opposed. Armariver will enjoy the decent ground and may prove too quick for Massini's Maguire. He is unlucky not to have lost his maiden tag having finished first past the post at Cheltenham in January but been demoted. He has run some decent races since and Armariver can prove the value alternative to Massini's Maguire.
