        Verdict

        Stephano, Captain Marryat and Quickstyx are three against the field in this competitive handicap and the confident vote goes to Stephano. The selection from the Barry Hill's yard has won his last two races in good style and although he is rising in the weights he has won in the style of an improver and with conditions again in his favour he is taken to defy the handicapper again. Captain Marryat rates the main danger he was second behind the selection last time and although he is better off at the weights he lacks the scope of the selection and for that reason he is opposed. Quickstyx is another that could go well she was a staying on fourth behind Prelude last time and with a yard beginning to hit top form she has definite place claims. Principessa did not appear to stay the 12 furlong trip last time but will appreciate the drop back to 10 furlongs so is worth noting in the market. Go Green is another that could go well on her best form but she gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with her when well beaten behind McQueen last time and for that reason she is over looked here. Of the remainder Rabitatit ran as if returning to form when second behind Top Spec off this mark last time and is another to note in the market but for the winner we return to the improving Stephano.
