In depth

Verdict

DON ALVARO was well beaten on his debut at Cheltenham in the autumn but has since switched to Paul Nicholls and probably has more scope than Jack The Farmer, tailed off in both starts to date, and Arressveepee. Both of the newcomers – Atjima and Musical - have a decent pedigree and are worth a market check.

Arressveepee (FR) 80-1 (11-0) Held up in rear, ridden over 4f out, never a factor, 8th of 9, dist behind Jonbon (11-0) at Newbury 2m (3) gs in Mar.

Don Alvaro 50-1 (11-0) Midfield, ridden and lost ground before home turn, no impression, 13th of 14, dist behind I Am Maximus (11-0) at Cheltenham 2m (2) sft in Oct.
