NonRunner

In depth

Verdict

Alpin King has had wind surgery since his third at Catterick so could find some improvement but has ground to make up on the four-year-old Beholden, who won a bumper in July. By Starlight showed definite promise when fourth at Newmarket in June but she hasn’t raced since and another filly, COMBINE, is preferred. She hails from a yard that has struck form recently and she didn’t get much luck in-running when trying this trip for the first time at Wolverhampton. Three-times hurdles winner Supakalanistic is probably having a pipe-opener but will likely be staying on in the closing stages.
