Verdict

Paul Nicholls has won five of the last 10 renewals and SCARAMANGA (NAP) can further enhance that excellent record. The second and third have both franked the form of his Taunton maiden win in March and he got going too late when runner-up at Ascot later when Praeceps was behind. King D'argent was fourth in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham in March and has solid claims on that effort having undergone wind surgery since. Praeceps, Our Power and Torpillo were all behind at Cheltenham but Caswell Bay made all at Newton Abbot recently and will try to make the most of his fitness. Lucky Lover Boy and Beat The Judge have both had a run on the Flat within the last three weeks and could also go well.
