Verdict

Another big field and a maiden which certainly doesn’t lack quality. Samburu Shujaa has already run eight times over hurdles but has been placed five times and come up against some useful novices. Master Card looked as though his turn was near when a close second at Hereford. Liosduinn Bhearna found only one too good at Uttoxeter and Minella Bobo did likewise at Doncaster. Ivilnoble ran a remarkable race on Town Moor earlier this month as he bolted on the way to the start. If he behaves himself today, Charlie Mann’s gelding could easily go one better and others who have already shown decent form include Fontsanta, Klare Castle and Shamilan but we’ll take a chance on the newcomer FOXWORTHY. Running in the Santini colours, he looked a nice prospect when winning a Larkhill maiden between the flags last April and will know what’s required.
