In depth
Verdict
Provided the ground is not too testing this should be a win for Cherry Gold, who is rated much better than this lot, and can score for Evan Williams, with Dawn's Cognac and Pure Steel the ones to chase him home. The selection is a course and distance winner who is ideally suited by good ground or faster. He jumps well and is the classiest runner here, so that can see him through to what will probably be a pillar to post success. One of the other things in the selection's favour is that none of the others are in love with cut in the ground either, though Pure Steel has some bits of form on it, jumps and stays well and can give him most to do. Dawn's Cognac has been stringing pointing wins together, but his rules form is strictly limited and it can pay to oppose him in favour of Cherry Gold here.
