        Verdict

        A fair amount of deadwood so sift through and only a handful really appeal for betting purposes here. The back-to-form Music Maid and Iced Diamond are worthy of a small interest and have to be considered if supported. But marginal preference is for Middleton Grey, who has acquitted himself well in much better races than this. The booking of Kieren Fallon needs no further enhancing for the top weight and the partnership could easily slip the field if they are allowed to dominate here. Ffynnon Gold and the Sylvester Kirk-trained Blue Trojan are ones to monitor for an each way moves.
