Verdict
A competitive handicap rounds off proceedings and many would have chances on their best form but the main protagonists appear to be Boanerges, General Smith and Stagnite and we will take a chance on Boanerges. The gelding from theMilton Bradley yard is thrown in on his best form and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. General Smith is another that could go well after his latest third behind Blackheath who has since franked the form but he gave the impression he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Stagnite is a tough and consistent sort but he still remains a maiden and for that reason he is opposed here. Of the remainder Cerulean Rose is also in form and from a shrewd yard so is worth noting in the market but we are happy to stick with Boanerges.
