In depth

Verdict

DOLPHIN ROCK scored under today's apprentice in soft ground at Ayr last time and should be thereabouts once again despite a 3lb higher mark. Edge was placed in a seller here earlier in the month but was well beaten in a handicap last time and Master Clockmaker is preferred on his recent second at Wetherby. Bountybeamadam has recorded all three wins so far at the track but remains resolutely out of form and is dropped a further 4lb in the weights.
