Verdict
Nufoudh is bound to be popular with backers following a promising debut effort but Mark Johnston's colt may not represent much in the way of value on a surface that is not certain to suit and a chance is taken with Copper King, who is preferred to Princely Royal. The last mentioned drops back into a maiden having contested a Listed race last time but has been well held in all four starts so far and is becoming expensive to follow. Tom Tower has looked nothing out of the ordinary in two starts so far and is far from certain to go on the ground, while Ella Y Rossa has shown only a modicum of ability so far. Bathwick Style should go on the ground but needs to improve and preference is for Andrew Balding's Copper King, who ran with promise on his debut at Warwick and, with improvement to come for the run on ground that should suit, he gets the vote.
