Verdict
Silvanus beat higher rated horses to win this last year including Dutch Masterpiece but this looks even tougher with the 112-rated SIR MAXIMILIAN in the field. The latter won a valuable handicap at Meydan in February and has scored over track and trip before. Maljaa rattled-up a hat-track over the minimum trip last season and promises to be even better this year while Canny Kool also showed good progress last term and was placed in a Listed race at the track in August. Red Baron could go close if allowed an easy lead but Rene Mathis seems best over 7f nowadays. Jane's Memory is lightly-raced but has not raced since 2014 and Ballista is not the force he was when landing this in 2013.
