        Verdict

        Algharb has been very consistent this season and can pay to follow at the expense of Turn On The Style, Gifted Gamble and Ryedane. Algharb did not race as a two-year-old, but has already visited the winner's enclosure twice from his six outings this year, at Ripon and Haydock. He was a hot-favourite at Redcar last time but met trouble in running before eventually finishing a close-up third to Borderlescott, and off his current mark of 83, must surely be in with a major shout. Turn On The Style has gone very close on his last two starts at Ayr and Windsor, but he seems to save his best form for softer ground and is passed over, while Gifted Gamble, depute hailing from an in-form yard, has to give nearly a stone to the selection. Ryedane was far too keen at Doncaster last time, dropping away tamely when headed, and from his low draw can prove troublesome if he settles. For the winner we return to Algharb.
