In depth

Verdict

Estrelle is taken to get the better of In The Lead and Lady Diktat, with Dilala expected to make her presence felt as well. Henry Cecil has just the one runner at Chester today, and on the evidence so far, Estrelle has a good chance of making it a profitable journey from Warren Place. The German-bred filly has plenty of stamina in her make up to help as she takes another step up in trip here, having found one too good over shorter on each of her two outings to date. She found only the odds-on Victory Design too good on her Lingfield debut despite getting off to a slow start, and then had the misfortune to run into another good thing in Thunder Rock at Yarmouth when stepped up to 11 furlongs. With those two runs under her belt, Estrelle should be capable of taking a hand in the finish. Dilala has not impressed as much in three stats to date, but is well-bred and will be one to note in handicaps. In The Lead and Lady Diktat can boast the most experience but both are starting to look exposed already, and preference is for Estrelle who has more scope than most.
