Gossip Column will appreciate the return to this longer distance and can figure but Eddystone Rock has done all his winning over shorter trips so far. Claire Underwood attempts today’s distance for the first time having won at Musselburgh recently but should be thereabouts if staying while Dawn Trouper has switched yards having won a maiden over 1m4f at Dundalk last year for Jim Bolger. JABBAAR will be sharper for a recent placed effort at Hamilton and was also placed off a higher mark over track and trip in September. Iain Jardine’s charge gets the vote to come good again having won the closing race on last year’s card.
