In depth

Verdict

SOLOMN GRUNDY had a tough battle to score at Fairyhouse on Saturday but his overall form suggests he'll take some beating if turning up. He had Winged Leader over 5 lengths behind when scoring at Gowran and should confirm the form. The latter won a similar event at Down Royal a year ago when Alpha Male was beaten 8 lengths into second while Warriors Tale won the 2018 Grand Sefton at Aintree for Paul Nicholls and has shown ability between the flags for new connections. Some Are Lucky was beaten 6 lengths by the selection at Tattersalls Farm in October before winning at Turtulla so could get into contention.
