Verdict

Mick Hourigan sent Thyne For Deploy to Wetherby to lose his maiden tag over timber then repeated the performance in a novices' hurdle at Hexham. He doesn't appear overburdened on his handicap debut though this is tougher. WINDS OF WAR was in cracking form on fast going here last summer and his later modest efforts can be put down to testing conditions. He makes his handicap bow from a fair mark and gets the vote. Ball Of Blue had been threatening to win a race for some time before getting off the mark at Limerick where he started favourite in a big field. The handicapper has hit him with a 12lbs rise but he's still likely to get involved while it would be no surprise to see a return to form by Green Mile, who has been racing in better company.
