Verdict

Vanguard Star looked one to follow when scoring at Dundalk but was beaten by the runner-up next time. Two Stars made a promising debut here and put the experience to good use to land a maiden on a return visit. Both runs were on testing ground but there's no reason why he shouldn't be even better on today's going. Escaping Thejungle couldn't quite get past Polar Bear on heavy ground at Bellewstown having won on good going there in September but AMAZON LADY (NAP) is taken to return to winning ways with her rider's 10lb claim a massive plus. She beat subsequent winner Parting Glass on her debut at Tipperary and was by no means disgraced when elevated into Listed company here next time.
