The veteran Brendan Brackan has won four times around here including off higher mark though he has a long absence to overcome. SALTONSTALL was in fine form early last summer, winning a decent Curragh handicap before running in several of the major handicaps of the season. He changed hands and was supported for the Lincoln at Doncaster but probably found the ground a bit lively and can gain compensation. Karawaan made an impressive debut for Ger Lyons at Naas and a 10lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big effort while Marshall Jennings, who was well beaten that day, is better than that and ran well in a Listed contest earlier this month. The latter's stable companion Charcor was also behind but showed the benefit of the run when beaten a short-head over this track and trip a fortnight ago. Perfect Tapatino won twice over 1m4f last summer so this looks on the short side.
