Verdict
A competitive opener with many a chance but PORTH SWTAN appeared better than ever when scoring on his reappearance over course and distance earlier in the month. The gelding had previously displayed strong form with Charles Hills and looks one to stay with in northern handicaps, now under the care of Garry Moss. He is effective on quick ground and should prove highly competitive in this follow-up attempt. The likes of Lake Volta and Parys Mountain both make appeal on the formbook and rate major threats if ready to do themselves justice first time up this term. Raselasad and Hayadh both have the benefit of a recent run and are well worth consideration as previous course and distance scorers.
