Verdict
This fiercely competitive sprint handicap, a season highlight at this venue, has been brought forward this season which means a number of leading form players arrive without a previous run. One such contender is Lambourn raider A MOMENTOFMADNESS but he's nevertheless taken to land this attractive prize. The very best of his form, including a Portland Handicap success on his penultimate start last term, reads exceptionally well and the booking of Daniel Tudhope is a strong indicator that connections mean business first time up. Draw seven is perfectly fine too. Many dangers abound, of which the useful Copper Knight makes appeal along with Captain Colby who should be all the better for his reappearance outing. Ornate arrives in cracking form after landing a competitive Newmarket sprint on Thursday and Line Of Reason and Royal Brave, both hold-up merchants, could also take a hand if the right gaps appear in time. Saaheq is an each-way play for Hollie Doyle and Michael Appleby.
