In depth

Verdict

This doesn't look much of a race despite a big field and though GLOBE THEATRE doesn't look a stable star the superbly-bred son of War Front out of an Oaks winner could be good enough after a reasonable return to action at Naas. Dark Endeavour showed plenty of potential in two starts over 6f last autumn while Defining Battle caught the eye at Dundalk in November. Dermot Weld has a couple of entries and the newcomer Marwari is related to several middle-distance winners including the high-class Fascinating Rock.
