Verdict

NOCHE MAGICA was an expensive yearling with a speedy pedigree who made an impressive debut at Cork. Runner-up Sturlasson had the benefit of experience but had no answer when the winner went past. Bucanero Fuerte had beaten the latter comfortably here in March so has to be considered along with the two Ballydoyle entries. His Majesty cost 325,000gns and is a half-brother to two winners while the €340,000 colt Unquestionable is by Wootton Basset out of a mare from a speedy family. Love Ya showed very good pace at Dundalk and is certain to improve.
