Verdict

Dermot Weld has been attempting to find a Group 1 for Famous Name for some time and, as the winner of 12 of his 23 races, he deserves success at the highest level but unless there's something amiss with SO YOU THINK he could be thwarted again. Aidan O'Brien's charge, a multiple Grade 1 winner in Australia, didn't have too much to do on his debut for the yard in a Group 3 here earlier in the month but could hardly have done it better, sauntering to a 10 length victory over Bob Le Beau and today's rival Mid Mon Lady. He's entered in every major race this summer and there will be some long faces at Ballydoyle if he's beaten. Campanologist is a high-class performer with two Group 1 victories in Germany to his credit last year. He didn't really impress on his reappearance in the Jockey Club Stakes and though better for the run appears unlikely to trouble the selection.
