Verdict

The Great War has been competing at a decent level since completing an early season double and though starting to appear exposed looks certain to be in the shake-up. His stablemate As Good As Gold has yet to win and hasn't looked up to this grade but Intense Pride has scope to do better and didn't get the run of the race in a lucrative auction event here last time. Ortiga made a pleasing debut behind Qualify at Dundalk but Pat Smullen, who rode her, is on board the stable's newcomer Byzantium. TAMADHOR had looked a certain future winner after her first two runs and so it proved when she beat Stellar Glow at Leopardstown. The runner-up is fancied for the previous race here so Kevin Prendergast's filly looks the one to be with.
